Todd and Megan Potter are both Virginia Tech graduates who fell in love with the Lowcountry and made Charleston home. With two kids and deep roots in the community, they built Charleston Custom Shutters in 2023 with a simple goal: bring a higher standard of service and craftsmanship to the window treatment industry.

Before CCS, Todd spent over a decade at Benefitfocus — one of Charleston's premier tech companies — leading product, engineering, and operations teams. That background in systems thinking and technology is what sets CCS apart. From motorized shade programming to seamless project management, every aspect of the business reflects a commitment to precision and innovation.
